At a distance of 30 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 46.5 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 28 km from Mapusa, Shri Rudreshwar Temple is situated in North Goa.

The temple is located at Arvalem in Bicholim Taluka. This temple is half a km away from the rock-cut caves or Pandava caves of Harvalem where the ancient linga of Rudreshwar is venerated.

The main deity of the temple is Shri Rudreshwar, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The Temple is newly built on the site of an old temple and is also known as the temple of Lord Shiva. The idyllic Harvalem waterfall is close by. The image of Rudreshwar is facing the waterfall.

The temple is famous for its grand festival of Mahashivratri which draws a large number of devotees from all parts of the country. The temple also assumes importance as Hindus perform rituals for the dead here.

The Shree Rudreshwar Temple is newly built on the site of an age-old ancient site and is also known as the temple of Lord Shiva.

The idyllic Harvalem waterfalls are close by. The image of Rudreshwar is facing the waterfall. While leaving the temple of Rudreshwar, one can descend the staircase to look at a majestic waterfall shedding its exuberant silvery showers.

Festivals of Rudreshwar Temple
Mahashivaratri Festival is commended with the ground of delights and joy. Amid the season of the Mahashivaratri Festival this sanctuary draws an enormous crowd from among local people.

The festival of Mahashivaratri draws big crowds and is celebrated amongst much gaiety and splendour wherein the temple is open to all Hindus, irrespective of caste and creed. However, the temple assumes importance as Hindus perform rites for the dead here.
