Stomach’s up for grabs? Well, a platter of surprises waits right alongside the famous and well-known ‘Holiday Streets’ of Calangute, at the ‘Top Nosh’ restaurant. With a cozy warm ambience that makes you feel welcome as soon as you step in, this restaurant will have you putting a check on every one of those boxes that you set up as an expectation of a perfect-dining. Behind all this, is the man Indra Dogati, who, ambitious in his work, keeps the restaurant going and progressing. The ambiance laid out for perfect setting unlike any other you’ve seen will have your taste buds also trying food unlike any other. Warm and cozy in appearance you can’t help but think to yourself, “Okay, let’s see what they’ve got!” (in other words, let’s try what they serve!), will the food keep up to the mark? Well, once you’ve tried, you’ll get your answer. The initial stages finding it away from its current location which had complications leading it there has yet not pulled its reputation of being “one of the best” Like every journey that begins on a rough road, so did the journey of this restaurant. But today, if you sit inside and try their food, you would not get even half the hint of its rough start! Today it serves to be a “have-to-visit” restaurant for those who haven’t and also for a few guest home residents it almost plays a role of a dining room in a house as they drop in for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Their menu has a touch of difference when it comes to starters. They’ll have before you options to choose from a list of ‘Cold starters’ and ‘Hot starters’. Wondering where to even begin or how? Why not take it from the owner himself? If your taste buds in some mood of cold starters, he recommends ‘Chicken Liver Pate’. It’s just delicious! The presentation will speak for itself. The liver of the chicken is sautéed which serves as a jam, for which reason, they give you toasted bread with it. It’s just light and the kind of dish that will give you a good start to your buffet. For a “Hot starter’, he suggests ‘Barbeque prawns’. You’ve just got to try for yourself to believe how good it is! Still their platter is made up of a multi-cuisine variety ranging of Continental, Indian, tandooris and stakes. For those that prefer Indian, some of the options laid out include Paneer Pakoda or puree like ‘Chaana puree’. For meat lovers, the much eaten dish is the ‘Chicken balti’ and so that speaks for itself. Yet some more surprises for all you non-vegetarian lovers is their Chicken jalfrezi, Chicken Lababdar, Lamb balti, Chicken Xacuti and also a scrumptious Goan Lamb Vindaloo. Of course, their options don’t end there and so also, most certainly, their surprises! After enjoying a course meal, go for their deserts which will also surprise you since they make the desserts themselves. Everything they serve off their tray is cooked by them to surprise you. He believes in hospitality and having a friendly staff, is part of what makes up a good restaurant. And you’ll be sure that it’s exactly what you get when you’re in. The staff greets you with their gentle smile while the ambience is draped in a pleasant atmosphere, set out to ooze out those senses ready to taste. Speaking of staff, they sometimes, even have a member of a staff come up to you and ask “How they found their meal?” to which most of the responses have either been, “good” or “excellent”. Well, considering the fact that they have a lot of regular customers, you can be sure that it’s worth the first try! It’s a dining experience that only requires one visit to be the reason for a daily visit. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday has their musical nights accompanying you. Let yourself get carried away, in the ‘Tripadvisor’ award winner, as their bars are stocked with cocktails and various liquors that are specially imported. Also they are stocked with a variety of mocktails, of which, their ‘Boo Boo Special’ marks to be just too good!

Everything you imagined to be a good dining experience is exactly what you’ll get. The owner, Indra, won’t leave you disappointed. It’s the restaurant for a truly good experience and you can even peek at a bit of their cooking that is displayed right at the right hand side near the entrance. It’s a display or friendly chefs grilling tandooris. So if you’re looking for good place to done and wondering where, here’s an option you can pick. So here’s a place where you can unburden yourself, fill up your tummy and chat away in the warmth of the ambience, letting nothing bother you as their staff ensure you’ve made the right choice.
