A popular Christmas song…deck the house with garlands of holly…tra..la..la..la. Well here is one deck that does not wait for Christmas, literally speaking. The ambience and food makes it a popular place to visit. It’s a lively coffee shop called Upper Deck, a level higher than the pool; thus offering a lovely view from the balcony – warm, open, welcoming. It’s at the Radisson Blu. The chefs have ignited a concept – there’s an emphasis on interactive kitchens with communal, bench and round table seating. But let’s talk about the menu. There is a great buffet spread which commands all eyes are on this deck before the feast begins. If a la carte is the norm of the day or night, for starters it is the Ajwaini Fish Taco and the Buffalo Chicken Winglet. Smack those lips together because the chef’s have induced Global harmony.
Hang on a moment, we still have the main course. Conti specialities like Pork in Poi Arepas, Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara and for vegetarians the signature preparation – Bakersfield Vegetable Supreme with risotto. The preparations are so uncommon that it is a delight to feast here. Finish off with the Gulkand Jamun…as Indian as it can get. Well if Christmas in Goa is global where people of every nationality make it a point to come here…the chef’s have worked hard to make the menu creative…tra..la..la, you will add another few lala…la’s too.
