Zuperb ‘Z’ stands for Zubin who wields the culinary spoon, ‘P’ for Porus the affable face behind the bar mixes, and ‘B’ is for Brian the base for every situation music or otherwise. Three partners who left the busy metropolis Mumbai and whose love for music has created ZuPerB with every initial stamped in the name. The menu has a mix of Indian, Chinese, Italian,Goan and Parsi bono too. It was too big a list to sample in one evening. However since not many restaurants serve Parsi food, taste a few preparations especially the lovers of that cuisine. There is a whole list of favorite starters too, but Parsi bono lovers – the Mutton Dhansak with the dhansak rice and the Sali Boti. The meat soft and sufficient , the potato crisps a crunchy affair. The meat soft and succulent, the potato crisps a crunchy affair.

There is chicken crunchy with wedges wedges being ordered with the drinks by other diners. It is we are given to understand the most popular preparation in the place. Zubin, Porus and Brian have got their concept right. The place is one where a group of friends could drop in for a drink order some snacks (the batter fried calamari and the crispy vegetable is worth ordering). Sing along the retro style, Indian music lovers Friday nights is for you with some good Vegetarian food (butter paneer masala and Baingan masala) or perhaps some Mutton Rogan Jose. Parking is ample; the partners make you feel at home as they meet you personally. Desserts are a bit of a disappointment for the locals more touristic in nature with Bebinca, Dodol and Fruit Salad, but you can end up with a good Irish Bailey cream to sweeten the evening.

As Zubin explains each preparation (except the goan cuisine) is personally made ‘a la minute’ and if you do want to sample the Parsi curry for lunch please call and order. It takes a good 45 minutes to prepare. So for those who want to spend a night out in a lively and value for money place remember Zuperb has a rocking bar (let those Dalquiris and Mohitos flow), excellent music (retro or Indian your vocal chords would need some exercising) and good food (a la minute and tasty). And with Zubin, Porus and Brian within call you cannot ask for more.
