A new mobile application has been doing the rounds on peoples mobiles in Goa lately. A mobile application, ‘City Breaking News’ was launched by Digital Goa. The purpose of City Breaking News is to keep the citizens of Goa well informed on the news and happenings around Goa. City Breaking News provides continuous brief news updates about happenings across the state along with photographs and an option to read detailed news.
According to the proprietor of Digital Goa, “The sole purpose of this app is to provide hyper localized news to Goans, as and when things happen. We are overwhelmed by the response we have received from the Goan community. Over 4000 downloads in a fortnight with over 95 percent active users is a huge morale boost.”
The application was designed by the infamous Panjim based, Androcid Media Pvt Ltd. According to Prajyot Mainkar, Director of Androcid, “News in the palm of your hand at just the right time is a new definition to news content delivery. Digital Goa team has been there and done that.”
